Programme NoteAlba, written in 1994 for the Faroese student choir Cantabile, sets the earliest known of an aubade, a gentle wake-up call for sleeping lovers. The text was discovered in the margin of a tength-century Roman legal document! Some of the language is obscure, but the sentiments are unmistakable.
