| Notes | I wrote this piece in 1972 while I was a medical student in Trinity College Dublin and it was performed that summer using organ in the Trinity College Examination Hall at a concert which was part of a contemporary music festival. The cellist was the wonderful Aisling Drury-Byrne and the organ was played by none other than Gerald Barry, now world famous as an opera composer among other things. Recopying the score 40 years later I have done a little editorial tidying-up but have not changed a note. -Derek Ball, 1972/2013 |
