| Programme Note | Programme Notes There are dense clouds. They display many shapes and colours. These clouds are depicted by the whole ensemble. When they "clear" away, lighter formations are revealed. They still have many shapes and colours (moods, emotions). They are depicted by solos, duets and trios. Performance Notes PHRASES - The curved line is used only sparingly. Where there is no curved line, the music is continuous. ** STRING PHRASES. Where there are no curved lines, phrases -for the most part - last until the 1guration changes. For instance, the violins have their 1rst phrase from bar 1 - 4. These bars are all in crotchets. The next phrase begins at bar 5 and is all in minims etc. ACCIDENTALS - The usual convention of notating an accidental once only at the beginning of a bar has been adhered to. However, there are several precautionary accidentals, sometimes in brackets. |
