| Notes | 'after a painting by David McClure'. 'The instrumental accompaniment is written in five separate parts and can be performed by any combination of instruments within these ranges. Doubling of parts is possible at the discretion of the conductor - eg. if it is performed by a string orchestra and when woodwind and brass are used. Slight re-orchestration might be necessary from time to time to preserve transparency of the texture. All this is left to the musical director to choose the instruments at his disposal and re-arrange where necessary'. Includes piano part for rehearsal only. |
