| Programme Note | There are two main circles and some small ones. The main circles are played simultaneously. Resonance is created by the use of repeated notes, fluttertonguing, trills, the clash of semitones etc. Movement round the main circles is achieved by each instrument taking the music of the previous instrument. At the end, the two main circles are sounded separately and on their own. Six notes of a twelve note row form a circle played by the three higher instruments. The other six notes form a circle played by the three lower instruments. |
