| Programme Note | In the shtetl, a simcha is underway with klezmer style music. A solo clarinet leads the way. However, under external threat and the fading memory of the passing years, the celebratory melodies keep dying away. It is replaced by bleaker, modernistic music - the harmonies of which are rocked by the accompanying glissandi. -Jane Serter, August 2015 |
