| Programme Note | "Lord, you renew us daily by your grace, wash the world's morning face in your love's chrism of dew or rainfall, give us good-day by your sun. Father and mother care rolled into one you nourish us, direct, protect, fold us in sleep, hold us in your arms, smoothing away the hurt and dirt of the day. You rinse the polluted beaches of our lives as your Spirit's silver tides well silently across the flats or smash roaring around rocks to leave the soul salty, sea-sweet, invigorated, coruscating like sun-glints on slaked sand. Lord, we long for your spring tides the fulness of your ocean sweeping our dead shores and the salt-spray, antiseptic clarity of your sun bleaching us fresh as your tides ebb and flow." |
