| Programme Note | "O Lord, you came in peace to us, sharing the world you had created; glad at its beauty, wounded by its grief. For we have spoiled your earth, destroyed its living things, muddied clear waters, hidden your light and tried to kill your love. Stretched on your cross you bore the darkness, buried it three days deep. Wrapped in your light, like grain of corn you slept in peace and woke shining to make all things new. So Lord, in this your power, may we be stretched between your world of light and our deep dark; to heal its pain, and live past fear of death until, shining, your kingdom comes." |
