| Programme Note | I put together this assortment of 60 tiny pieces in 3 volumes for my own amusement and in the hope of amusing my old friends Jenny & Andrew Robinson. There is no attempt at consistency: it's a mixed bag of which it can be said that, at worst, if there's one you don't like then at least it's over soon, and, at best, the good ones will never risk sating your appetite. I allow all sorts of styles to jostle for position, and several different centuries rub shoulders. A lot of the pieces are completely newly composed, some are cannibalised in new arrangements from the rest of my oeuvre, and just a few are brazenly stolen from others. |
