| Programme Note | This piece is not a song, but neither is it a poetry recitation with accompanying music. It's somewhere in between the two. The words and music hardly ever overlap, but they are always intimately related, echoing each other from line to line. This is one of a series of collaborations between the poet Maurice Harmon and the composer Derek Ball, exploring ways in which words and music can interact without obscuring one another. |
