| Programme Note | These three little piano duets were dictated to me by the shade of Erik Satie: I was merely the vessel through which the 'Gymnomanies' passed. I noted with amusement Erik's self-parody in transformng the 'nu-pieds' of his better-known title into the 'mains nues' of this one, as well as the ambiguity of 'manie' which of course could be interpreted as 'mania'. You don't have to be a maniac to play the pieces but, believe me, it helps a great deal.
